Network Deployment Engineer

Pangaia Partners has several positions open that require the background listed below. Please note: We prefer that you apply only if you live in the NY/NJ areas or have plans to move to the area in the near term:

You must have significant design/deployment experience with IP networking, network hardware (i.e., Cisco, Nortel, Extreme), Network Security, routing protocols and Wide Area Networks. We prefer individuals with advanced network certifications such as CCIE, CCNP, CCSE. In addition, these roles will be heavily involved with supporting large enterprise networks during critical outages.

Experience:

• Experience building and upgrading large data centers to include build-outs with Cisco, WAN circuits, servers and large firewall deployments.
• Configuration, testing and turn-up of Cisco Switches and routers.
• Proven experience with routing protocols (i.e., OSPG, BGP, EIGRP, IGRP)
• Experience with Technologies such as QOS and MPLS
• Troubleshooting complex network outages
• Coordinating and turn-up of WAN links.
• Installation of new network hardware, new VLAN’s topologies, firewall infrastructure, server networks and IP addressing.
• Network Management and Support Tools

Skills/Qualifications:

Routers, Hubs, and Switches, Network Hardware Configuration, Network Maintenance, Routing Protocols, Networking Standards, Presenting Technical Information, Research Skills, Firewall Administration, Load Balancing and Scalability.

Experience working in large enterprise networks is desired. The ability to work under pressure and interface with senior management will be key to these roles.
